Titling Platform

The Plot:
The main purpose of this project is to build a 2 layer titling structure that can hold the weight of 500 litres of oil when tilted to a certain degree to dispense the oil out from the barrel. The tilting structure shall consists of non electrical and electronic components because it is designated on a hazardous area where all electrical components is forbidded.
The 2 layer tilting structure will be operate as a manual oil dispenser machine to dispense the oil out from the barrel via mean of two controllers. It is also designed to cut away from unproductive work.
This is a big challenge as a multi-disciplinary machine builder as we have not come across such project. After some carefully thoughts, decision making and planning, we decided to take up the challenge to build the customised 2 layer tiliting platform. Firstly, we understudy the principle of tilting systems and their design applications.
During the testing stage, we encounter numerous problems. Firstly, finding a suitable method of measuring the heated mold is a big challenge. After several days and round of trial and error, we managed to conclude the most effective method of measuring the heated mold on the mold chase portable machines. Secondly, some of the components started to give way due to the heat, we had to find alternative components replacement and rewire the layout of the components so that the components will break away from long hours of heat during production mode.
